Dr. Wendy Wray is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with a private practice located in the Riverside area. She works throughout the state of California through virtual services. Dr. Wray works with clients of all cultures, backgrounds and faiths and provides additional support to clients of color who feels that no one understands their unique struggles. Dr. Wray also works with Christian couples who feels disconnected and seeks meaning and purpose. Many of Dr. Wray’s clients seek therapy when they feel stuck or have a hard time letting go of the past. Couples are ready to make a change and show up as their best selves. The question is: How? Clients are normally experiencing depression, anxiety, loss of a sense of self, not feeling seen or heard and have unresolved trauma which causes them emotional and physical pain. Clients have a desire to live again and rediscover the peace, joy, and happiness they once had or long to have. Dr. Wray is passionate about serving young and seasoned couples as well as individuals that are stuck in negative patterns and desire change but lack the right tools and support.

Dr. Wray has advanced training in childhood/adult trauma, EMDR, attachment styles, EFT and Gottman’s techniques for couples. As an and attachment-based trauma therapist, Dr. Wray incorporates a holistic approach to get to the heart of the matter. Dr. Wray taps into the subconscious mind and thoughts and explores generational cycles to change behaviors and patterns that seem impossible to break. Dr. Wray includes complimentary evidence-based assessments for a client to gain insight into self and learn how to be vulnerable and share your needs and fears to increase emotional and physical intimacy and create the love story you desire.

You will be empowered to do anything.

Earning a master’s degree and Ph.D. in Marital and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University helped me to craft my expertise. Earning a bachelor’s and master's degree in education and an MBA in leadership afforded me a unique and vast educational training experience with a depth of knowledge to relate on various levels with all types of clients. My specialty is in the areas of trauma and attachment, increasing emotional intelligence, relationship wellness, creating healthy habits and understanding how the brain functions to make change individually and relationally to becoming the healthiest version of yourself.
