Professional statement

Wynn Calder's practice is based on an integrative approach that emphasizes a balance of mental, physical, and social health. Therapy can be helpful for moderate and acute experiences of depression, anxiety, or any form of distress, as well as for learning to live your life with more confidence, comfort and joy.

How would you describe your relationships with family members, friends and colleagues? To what extent are you able to meet daily challenges with ease? Are your strategies for solving problems or dealing with negative feelings effective? Working with a therapist to achieve greater self-awareness and behavior change can be a major step toward living a happier, more purposeful and meaningful life.

Wynn came to counseling after many years of experience in teaching, non-profit work, and educational consulting. He and his wife have three children, spanning late teens through mid 20s. In addition to his MA in psychological counseling, he has a second master’s degree in theological studies.

Message to clients

My approach is solution-focused and strength-based. A trusting relationship between client and therapist is important for positive outcomes, and I recognize that asking for help and being open to change is difficult. I collaborate with clients in developing treatment goals and a plan for our work together on both short- and longer-term bases. I'm happy to schedule a free consultation to answer any questions.
