Professional statement

Xenia Hatzilias, LPC-MHSP, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee. Xenia attended Florida State University where she studied Psychology and then went on to obtain her Master's in Mental Health Counseling at Loyola University New Orleans.

After living in New Orleans for five years working with families in the juvenile criminal justice system, Xenia was offered a job in Nashville, Tennessee. While in Tennessee, Xenia became fully licensed and trained in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Perinatal Grief. Once licensed, she opened her Private Practice, Xen Family Therapy, where she sees all clients virtually, in the comfort of their own home.

Xenia enjoys working in her Pivate Practice with Women going through life transitions. Many women go through moves, relationship issues, breakups, pregnancy, and transitioning to motherhood alone. Maybe this isn't necessarily because you don't have the support, but maybe there are other things that is holding you back from talking with someone in your own life. Therapy is here to provide a non-judgmental, open space, where you can feel safe to talk through those difficult feelings that may be hard to say out loud.

Message to clients

Whether you are experiencing anxiety in your life due to relationships, family issues, or work stress, I am here to help. I will work with you to identify the cause of your anxiety or difficult feelings, and utilize coping skills that work for you. Working towards bettering yourself can be difficult, but you don't have to do it alone. We can work together to process your history and any traumas you may have gone through that are holding you back from having the life you want and the relationships you've longed for.

This work can be so challenging in the beginning, which is why it is so important to have a strong support. Working with your support system outside of therapy is important as well! We will work to identify who that is and what that looks like for you. Boundaries are key in relationships and we will work to develop those as well!

I see women of all ages and we work through some very difficult times together. I am here to offer a safe space where you can communicate freely and experience your feelings without having to hold back or support anyone else. Taking care of yourself is just one step in your journey, but truly one of the most important. I am looking forward to meeting you!
