My approach is collaborative and active, with emphasis on building a strong alliance, then working towards achieving your goals. My style is direct, collaborative, and introspective. I also operate within a systemic and multidisciplinary framework that includes taking into account collaboration with other providers, your family's value system and personal experiences. This makes me effective at creating a safe environment and evaluating/working with youth and young adults that struggle with disruptive behaviors, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, anxiety, mood difficulties, and learning and academic challenges.

I end up working with people with a range of diagnoses and experiences, and we would work together to determine what you are most looking for help with at this point in your life. We would try to find a balance between learning how to be more accepting and appreciative of yourself right now, while also working to create meaningful change in the areas in which you want to move beyond just surviving to thriving.

We believe that every person deserves the right to feel fulfilled, purposeful, and happy. We want to make sure you are heard, and validated. It is our belief and mission to uncover your true potential and lead a life worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve past, present, and future challenges in your life.
Often times our lives are so busy we forget to take care of ourselves. Therapy can be an opportunity for self-discovery, self-care, growth and change. We offer a safe environment to listen, reflect, and create both short and long term goals to help cope, and find balance in your life.

A special note to my prospective online clients: I feel privileged to help my clients through a variety of challenges as they embrace life transitions. Working together, I can help you move forward with confidence and strength.
Many of my clients come to me with mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety and/or depression. I am very mindful of the degree to which you appear to be impacted in your daily life by these symptoms when we are working together. Please understand that your safety and well-being is most important to me. I am not equipped in my current office setting to manage severe depression, active thoughts of harming yourself in any way, or thoughts and ideas that do not connect to existing reality. If we begin working together and symptoms like these become apparent, I will make additional referrals for you in order to assure that you receive the best possible care and support.

I try to be really respectful of people. It’s no small thing to come into therapy, nobody ever comes into therapy on their best day, its often their worst. I really try to keep that in mind. I really try to meet people where they’re at. I want to help people get the most out of their lives.

In my work as a therapist, I focus on understanding early experiences and how psychological well-being can be fostered through relationships. I believe change and healing come through relationships: our relationships with ourselves, as well as our relationships with others. I view therapy as a collaborative process that allows both therapist and client to grow and change.
I practice primarily from a relational-dynamic perspective, though I incorporate techniques from cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and narrative approaches to tailor treatment to the unique and individual needs of each client.
My clients describe me as an empathetic, active listener who approaches their concerns with caring, respect, pragmatism, and sometimes, humor. I'm honored that you're considering working with me and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
