Anger Management Group

Description

Our Anger Management Group, running from June 8 to September 6, 2025, offers a supportive and structured environment for adults seeking to better manage anger and improve interpersonal relationships. Grounded in the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the group helps participants identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and strengthen emotional self-regulation. This group is appropriate for individuals referred by courts or employers, as well as those seeking personal growth. Each session includes guided discussion, CBT-based exercises, and take-home assignments to reinforce learning. Participants will receive a 12-week workbook to track their progress and apply skills between sessions.

Sessions are held weekly and require a commitment to all 12 weeks. A brief intake screening is required to ensure readiness and fit for group work. The group requires a minimum of 9 participants and is conducted in a cooperative format. The cost is $100 per session, and upon successful completion, each participant will receive a Certificate of Completion, which may fulfill court, employment, or personal development requirements. The group is facilitated by Jorge W. Dionisio, LCSW-C, a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience in trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and CBT-based group interventions.
