Bereavement Group

Description

Grief is an experience of loss that often brings to the conscious level all the loss of our lives. Loss can be emotionally painful for it reminds us that life is ever changing and nothing remains the same. Grieving is a way to cope with our loss and in time live our lives differently than before.

Bereavement Groups help those who are mourning to begin to process their feelings of anger, sadness, sense of being lost, and at some point, acceptance. Groups often have a positive aspect to loss since the group members are all mourning a loss and can offer each other solace and support when others are not available or have the time.
