CogSMART: Cognitive Skills and Rehabilitation Group

Description

This is a cognitive skills training group appropriate for people who have experienced any of the following:


  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Stroke
  • Brain Infection
  • Concussion
  • Brain Surgery
This evidence-based group, developed and tested by the Portland VA Medical Center and the University of California at San Diego, provides skills that help people with brain injuries adapt and improve daily functioning. Skill training includes memory, attention, planning, and organizing as well as self-care and stress coping.

Group Therapist

The Chicago Center for Cognitive Wellness is a therapy practice dedicated to helping your brain. They work with adults and adolescents who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and physical symptoms, with a particular specialty in the treatment of mental health concerns related to cognitive impairment or neurological issues.

Whatever the problem, they are there to support and guide patients and families, as they work to build the best brain they can.



Chicago Center for Cognitive Wellness
