Group Therapist

Madelaine Weiss is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Master of Business Administration, and Board Certified Executive, Career, and Life Coach who connects with clients through virtual sessions from her Washington, DC office. She specializes in work-life transitions, balance, and growth; as well as more general anxiety, stress management, relationship, and self-esteem issues.


Clients often come to Madelaine when they’re experiencing stress, particularly work stress stemming from highly demanding and/or executive positions. As a coach, she integrates her extensive knowledge of psychodynamics with concrete tools that her clients can take away at the end of the session. Such techniques might include using mindfulness as a tool to reflect on issues before moving forward in a clear, resolute manner. Most, if not all, of her sessions end with an action plan so that clients can make concrete, tangible progress.


Madelaine has a business background herself, having gotten her MBA from the Boston University Graduate School of Management, and having held numbers of executive positions throughout her career. She enjoys using a blend of firsthand context with a warm, encouraging, open, direct, and neutral perspective to help her clients find satisfaction and success in their lives.


To ensure goodness of fit, initial phone consultations with Madelaine are 20-30 minutes.
