Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group (NYC)

Members will learn skills to stay grounded in the present, cope with difficult emotions, avoid self-harmful behaviors, and improve relationship functioning. We will cover ways to choose composure and skillfulness over emotion dysregulation.

All four modules of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) are covered: Core Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. The group employs an interactive style that includes ample opportunity for discussion and practice.

Duration is approximately 27 weeks. Acceptance is by interview, and enrollment is on a rolling basis.
