Description

Embracing Body Positivity is an 8-week journey providing education and support to uncover the messages that have influenced your relationship with food, exercise and body. You will build the tools and skills to trust your body and practice intuitive eating and exercise. Within this small group setting, you will learn how to foster a community to support a body positive lifestyle. The goal is for you to leave feeling supported, knowledgeable and empowered to reclaim your health and relationship with your bodies.
Additional topics include:
-Social Media Makeover: how to identify and unfollow those who may be toxic to your feed
-Cultivating self love: how to become conscious in the moments when our critical voices speak
-How to eat when you’re hungry and stop when you’re full, ultimately how to trust your body
-Steps to building your body positive community

Please note:
-This will be a closed group limited to 6 participants (Women/Men/Non-Binary ages 18-35)
-Participants are expected to commit to the 8-week series for group cohesiveness and community building
-All members are expected to have a 30 minute confidential therapeutic consultation by video chat prior to the group start date (which is an additional $60 for the session or NYU Wellfleet copay $10)
-Ongoing psychotherapy during/after this group is encouraged and is available through Repose Therapy & Wellness.

Our role is that of guide, teacher, and companion as you embark upon the journey of your lifetime. We help you to find your way back to wellness.
Repose offers treatment for anxiety, trauma, loss and grief, OCD, relationship issues, parenting concerns, and more. The team at Repose also has specialty training in treating secondary trauma (compassion fatigue or "burnout") in first responders.
We welcome individuals and couples, regardless of each client's background, orientation, and gender expression.  It is our hope that all clients gain a more compassionate, balanced understanding of themselves.

Repose

Repose is a group practice in Midtown Manhattan that offers treatment for anxiety, trauma, loss and grief, OCD, relationship issues, and parenting concerns. The providers at Repose are holistically oriented, and they take a mind-body approach, incorporating modalities like breathwork, guided meditation, and therapeutic yoga.
