EMPOWER(ED) Virtual Aftercare 30 Day Program for Eating Disorders

Description

Welcome to EMPOWER (ED) Virtual Aftercare Program for Eating Disorders. EMPOWER(ED) is a 30 Day aftercare program to support you on your recovery journey. EMPOWER(ED) was designed to empower you to continue on with your growth and recovery. The seed of this program was planted over 10 years ago when I started to connect to healing through dance, yoga, rhythm, animals, nature and community. Throughout these years, I accomplished degrees and certificates ranging from fitness to mental health, and community and one core theme stood out: Healing comes from within YOU and the light that you bring to this world: All the parts of YOU-Your soul; opening your heart to connect to your voice; and understanding self. As a dance and yoga instructor, I have experienced first hand the power of YOU and how it EMPOWERS others. As a musician of indigenous instruments, I have experienced the way rhythm inspires movement and together how movement and rhythm transforms feelings and thoughts and power of connection transforms communities. As a clinician, I have been part of amazing and powerful journeys and the power art, rhythm, movement, animals, nature and community has on healing, connection, and recovery. Lastly, as a person, connecting to purpose, I felt how difficult it is to connect to voice and purpose. All of these experienced converged into three core concepts: YOU; HOPE; and EMPOWER. I hope this program helps you to connect to your essential self, as you navigate this journey of growth, awareness, resolution and recovery, you begin to create a path that transforms, connects, restores, and attunes you to your light and your purpose. The connecting core to this transformation is E.M.P.O.W.E.R (ED).

The E.M.P.O.W.E.R.(ED) workbook is built on this integral approach to healing and resilience through the lens of neurological, physiological, social, and emotional development. E.M.P.O.W.E.R (ED) is a recovery and relapse prevention plan for eating disorders.

The EMPOWER (ED) program does not take the place of therapy. The program is a companion to after treatment from a residential program or while attending individual therapy session. The program is meant to assist you in navigating your journey to attune and connect to your resilience and your recovery through connection, self-awareness, and mindfulness. The seven focus points of E.M.P.O.W.E.R are resources to anchor the connection between healing, recovery, and growth. The focus points E.M.P.O.W.E.R. are the foundation of interrelated approaches and strategies to achieve balance, connection, and natural and communal harmony. Which is achieved through establishing a sense of belonging, building a social recovery network, and promoting engagement within your recovery and the community. The program is broken down into sections that focus on connection, movement, recovery, growth and community. My hope is that this program will empower and guide you in recognizing overall wellness as a reflection of mental, physical, and spiritual health and it reflection of healing through release, resolution, restoring your sense of self, establishing healthy relationships, self-acceptance and self-actualization. Through this program, my hope is that you will connect to your EMPOWER(ED) self to create your recovery, your community, and your connection to your community.

The 30 Day program offers 1 personalized coaching session; group sessions 3 times per week; a workbook; access to 4 dance and/or yoga classes for that month and entrance in a private Facebook forum. The aftercare program is designed on growth and embracing a healthy and intentional mind-body-and spirit. The program will begin when there are 8 in the group.
