Description
Do you avoid social activities because you can’t hear others well? Do you feel foolish, down, or anxious because you have trouble hearing? Is your partner often annoyed because you don’t hear? The hearing loss group at RICBT is for any adult struggling psychologically or socially with hearing loss. You may or may not wear assistive listening devices (e.g., hearing aids, cochlear implants, FM devices, etc.). It is a place where one can find support among people with similar difficulties (e.g., avoiding social activities, stress in relationships, low self-esteem, feeling down/anxious). Education about hearing loss, hearing aids, and audiological rehabilitation will also be provided.
