Homebound Support Group

Description

A weekly in-person group (virtual attendance is an option) for students who are homebound, ages 13-17. Our group will provide a supportive environment for students to make connections with others who are homebound for medical reasons. Our hope is that this group will provide a place for students to spend time together, vent, and process their experience. Group time may also be spent doing art therapy or other fun process activities.

Group Therapist

CALM counseling believes that self-improvement and meaningful change are within your reach. We help clients of all ages to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and pursue a life that is more intentional. We also believe that hope is such an important piece of the puzzle- so we work to cultivate and maintain this along the way.

Our skilled clinicians work with clients on body image, relationship issues, fertility concerns, and parenting. Additionally, all of our therapists have training in working with eating disorders. We take a relational approach to the work-meaning we think establishing a close working relationship is a healing experience. By taking a relational stance, we work towards understanding attachment styles and other family of origin issues in order to explore how attachment wounds show up in other parts of our life.
