This is a mutual support and counseling group for men ages 25-50. The group will convene twice a month, online at first, to discuss and process issues of shared concern and interest. Members of this group are experiencing both the stressors and excitements of young adulthood, but may not have an outlet to share challenging experiences with similarly situated peers.
The group is loosely structured around relationship issues, which may include romantic, family or workplace relationships. Issues may also include finding a suitable partner, deciding whether to get married, have children or end a relationship.
But the group will find its voice as it coalesces and remains open to the issues group members want to discuss. This is an open group, which will meet for 75 minutes.
Do you and your partner have the same fights over and over again? Do you talk in circles and feel like your partner still doesn’t understand you? Has the romance and intimacy in your relationship been replaced with frustration and distance? I want to help you begin the healing process so you can repair and reinvent your relationship.
My name is Rachel Wachtel and I have over 22 years of experience as a couples therapist. I’m trained in Imago therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, EMDR, CBT, and meditation. My experience and these therapy approaches will help you and your partner communicate better, develop trust and intimacy, and build a future of happiness together.
I have extensive experience working with high conflict couples. This includes couples with addictions, blended families and couples recovering from affairs. I actively engage with my clients during sessions, giving guidance and feedback to help you grow. This helps them learn how to process and talk about sensitive topics and issues together.
