These six-week seasonal Mental Fitness Groups are about being proactive and acquiring skills that will help young guys Step Up + Move Forward; Connecting and learning about topics that schools leave out, topics that are integral to success and happiness. Topics Include:
1. Executive Functioning + Resilience
2. Healthy Communication
3. Mindfulness
4. Tech Use + Social Media
5. Body Image + Anxiety
6. Growth Mindset + Habit Forming
This group runs seasonally and has locations in both Lexington and Newton.
Group Therapist
Jotham Busfield is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with offices in Newton, Lexington, and Concord, Massachusetts. His practice focuses on supporting young men between the ages of 8 and 25 as they navigate a range of challenges, including anxiety and depression. During this formative time when many individuals may struggle with self-esteem, identity, and relationships, Jotham is passionate about empowering his clients to lead their lives with confidence and feel more connected to themselves and their peers.
Jotham utilizes a blend of traditional talk therapy and personal coaching. Tailored to the goals of each individual client, he draws upon evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices.
Enthusiastic and empathic, Jotham strives to create an environment that is judgment-free and approachable. He believes deeply in taking a goal-oriented approach, working closely with his clients and their parents to take actionable steps toward the lives they envision.
