Have you found meditation helpful in the past?
Do you tend to be harder on yourself than you are with your friends?
Are you looking for gentler ways of connecting with yourself?
If you answered yes to these questions, please consider joining this group that integrates mindfulness practice with compassion. We will meet weekly for 6 weeks on Wednesdays. Since the material builds on previous weeks, it is important that members attend each week. In group you can expect to learn:
- The research evidence of the benefits associated with self-compassion practices (research shows it can reduce anxiety, depression, stress, and overthinking)
- Specific formal and informal mindfulness and compassion techniques that you can integrate into your everyday life
- Resources to help continue your practice at the end of our group work together
Interested folk must meet with me for an initial free one-on-one 30-minute consultation prior to the start of group. During this time, we will discuss your goals, the format of the group, and your concerns. It is also a chance for you to get a feel for my style and for us to decide if this group is the right fit for you at this stage of your journey.
