Group Therapist

Johnna Stilson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She also holds an additional certificate as National Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors. She is licensed to provide remote therapy services to clients throughout the states of Florida and Colorado. With over 14 years of experience, Johnna possesses a wealth of knowledge in working with individuals across various age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. Many of her clients seek her compassionate support to overcome grief, recover from illness, navigate trauma, or overcome a major life obstacle.

Johnna adopts a holistic approach to therapy, drawing from a diverse range of modalities to cater to her clients' unique needs. One of the evidence-based therapy techniques she employs is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful modality that guides clients through exercises aimed at processing and healing distressing memories from the past. Additionally, clients benefit from skills acquired through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Johnna's primary objective is to equip clients with practical tools they can readily implement to alleviate their symptoms and foster stability in their lives. Furthermore, she collaborates with clients over the long term, delving into the underlying issues that may have contributed to their present stressors.

Beyond her work with individual clients, Johnna also offers virtual support groups that serve as valuable resources for individuals navigating life's challenges. These include a Mindfulness Practice for Mental Health group and a Self-Compassion group, providing clients with opportunities to develop connections to others on similar journeys.
