Personal and Professional Development Group


From the board room to the bedroom, the importance of relational intelligence is gaining global recognition.

In this group, concepts such as emotional intelligence and mindfulness will be used to help members balance professional and personal goals with self-awareness, empathy, effectiveness, and authenticity. This group is well suited for professionals who value a wellness-oriented model of growth and development which is free of the constraints of “medically necessary” psychotherapy.

Participants will learn and practice skills such:

-increasing relational focus

-identifying and describing emotional triggers

-limit setting and making requests

-genuine validation

-effective giving and receiving of feedback

Group Therapist

Daniel Even is a 34-year veteran of the field, and specializes in anxiety, depression, burnout at work, interpersonal skills, marital conflict, pain management, and religious issues. He works with college students, adults, professionals, couples, and seniors.

Daniel has a sub-specializes in group therapy. He is a life member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy. Previously, he taught Group Theory and Practice at both the masters and doctoral level.

Daniel's integrative approach to therapy is informed by acceptance and commitment therapy, integrative dialectical behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness practices. In addition to his master's degree in Social Work, Daniel also holds a Master of Divinity. He has a special interest in connecting Western religious traditions with an Eastern meditative approach. Daniel has degrees from Harvard, Smith College and Bucknell University. He has worked in several health centers and hospitals throughout New England in addition to his current private practice.

Beginning in January of 2022 he discontinued in network associations with insurance companies in order to focus more on his collaborative existential approach to today's challenges relating to the COVID pandemic, climate change, and the toxic polarization in society. For those clients who have an out of network insurance benefit he may, in some cases, format statements for clients to submit to their insurer if criteria is met for medical necessity.
