Psychedelic Integration

Description

This group is for people who are looking for a supportive environment with others who have had personal psychedelic experiences. The integration of these experiences is very important to help people make meaning out of whatever insights were received, to process difficult or mystical experiences, and to give and receive support around these potentially life changing experiences.

I require at least one individual therapy session to assess if this group will be a good fit for your needs. Some people may require more individual integration therapy before joining an integration group. This group is currently in formation and more details will be shared once I receive enough of a response to begin holding monthly group sessions.

Group Therapist

James Fedor is a psychotherapist in New York and New Jersey. He works with adult individuals, couples, and groups. Many of James’s clients come in to address anxiety, depression, disappointment, loneliness, or uncertainty about what to do with their life. James has successfully worked with clients from a diversity of backgrounds, identities, ages, and problematic situations. Most of his clients get enhanced self-clarity within weeks, and start to see/feel tangible results in their lives within a few months of starting therapy with him.

James is trained in depth/Jungian, somatic, transpersonal, cognitive behavioral, and attachment based interventions, in which we look at feelings, thoughts and behaviors that don't work, explore the deeper drives beneath this, and discuss manageable and achievable steps to implement change. In session, James focuses on the client's personal successes, and works compassionately with the areas on ongoing challenge. This approach supports clients to feel higher levels of self-awareness and acceptance, more confidence at respecting their feelings, and are able to stay connected to themselves during times of distress.

James's style is interactive, compassionate, down to earth. When clients first start therapy, we work to understand the current situation bringing them to therapy, set goals, and establish a strong therapeutic relationship.

James received his PhD and MSW from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He has worked at Institute for Personal Growth, where he received advanced training and supervision in sex therapy (including BDSM/kink), trauma based interventions, ethical non-monogamy, couples therapy, and ketamine assisted therapy. Outside of private practice, he enjoys quiet time in nature, reading, and community involvement. He offers online therapy to people in New York and New Jersey, and ketamine assisted therapy in person in New Jersey
