Dr. Walters and her team will guide you through a transformational experience grounded in movement to help you get into your body and quiet your mind. The theme for our December gathering is Compassion and Peace.
You’ll experience mindful movement, sound healing, journaling & reflection, connection, meditation, and centering. Awaken all of your senses and spend time in welcoming community. Lunch, all snacks, and a special take-home gift are included.
Retreats provide the rare opportunity to disconnect from day-to-day distractions and connect with an intentional community. Self-care does not equal selfishness! Group Therapist
Dr. Cathia Walters, Psy.D. (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist, educator, and transformational coach with over 20 years of clinical experience. She is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through retreats, groups, classes, and individual sessions, she has empowered hundreds of individuals and couples over the years, using a lens of compassion and acceptance of self. Those who have worked with her learn to live - not just to exist.
As a trauma-informed clinician, Dr. Walters’ holistic approach is client-centered and compassion-focused. Using that compassion in conjunction with mindfulness practices, she works with clients to shift their negative narratives into healthier, more effective storylines.
Dr. Walters' personal, immigrant experience has shaped her work. She is committed to maintaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive practice. Along with the traditional modalities of in-person sessions, she offers “walking therapy” for individual clients, as well as telehealth practices geared to not only individual clients but couples, groups, and classes. She is currently accepting new clients via telehealth only.
