The closed group will meet weekly on Zoom and will have reading assignments, learn how stress causes illness and what they must do to counteract stress on the body. The client will learn coping skills, mindfulness techniques, EFT tapping techniques, and positive affirmations. The therapist will help the client challenge negative thoughts that foster strong emotional responses.
Danielle Ojeabulu is a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, who works with adult individuals, couples, families, and groups with a focus on Black/Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), Christian counseling, and healing the wounded soul. Many of her current clients have found it easy to trust Danielle because of her empathic and non-judgmental style. Danielle attracts people of many cultures who have been traumatized in their early childhood and teenage years and provides a safe space for them to process their thoughts and emotions using EMDR Therapy.
Danielle’s approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based approach that focuses on helping clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, so that they can begin to make targeted change. She works to help clients understand their behavioral response to external stressors and begin to problem-solve ways to introduce moments of calm to choose to respond rather than react in the face of change. Danielle is focused on helping her clients rewire their brain to believe new thoughts and cancel unhelpful ones.
Danielle’s priority in starting with a new client is building the therapeutic alliance and trust so that the work of therapy can flow to the advantage of the client. She offers telehealth therapy to her clients to make therapy accessible to all.
