Group is a great place to:
-Learn about how you make yourself known to others and how others experience you
-Practice observing and speaking aloud your thoughts and feelings in the moment
-Experience here-and-now interactions, including conflict, leading to stronger interpersonal connections.
What we do in group translates to richer experiences and relationships in your regular life. Membership is mixed age, race, gender, sexual orientation, and issue, and there is a maximum of 8 people in every group. Typically, people work in individual therapy first and then move into this ongoing group. Minimally, I'd ask to meet 3-5 times to assure a good fit for you and the group. As with individual therapy, I am out-of-network for insurance and payment is due directly to me (group clients can file claims with their insurance provider).
