Womens' Anxiety Group


This Womens' Group is for single and dating women in their late 20's and early 30's navigating life transitions of this age. Sessions will be process based but always have a topic or skill of the day. Topics will include anxiety, mental health in general, romantic relationships, career decisions, boundaries in relationships, communication, conflict avoidance, emotional regulation, other womens' issues, and more. The group can also propose topics as this will be a collaborative process. The goal of this group is provide a safe space for women to process life experiences and receive peer support while learning new skills and perspectives. A major focus of the group will be navigating this time period of life and anxiety. If you are working through anxiety in your individual therapy this can be a fantastic resource and additional support for you. Group therapy can help you validate and normalize your experiences, by hearing from other women and receiving nonjudgmental support from them.

Group Therapist

Kristen Quinones is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York City. Kristen works with adults who are looking to build more authenticity in their lives. She helps them by empowering her clients to put their values into action and by teaching them skills to redefine their emotional experience of the world. Many of Kristen’s clients come in when they are experiencing high anxiety, feeling uncertain about how to navigate difficult situations or their relationships, are at a crossroads in their lives during a major transition, or are struggling to cope with life stress. Kristen is particularly passionate about serving the New York community as they navigate life stress and anxiety. Kristen has advanced training in Generalized Anxiety, Panic Attacks, and OCD.

Kristen is trained in Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavioral therapies which give her the background to incorporate skills based work and processing into sessions. This approach supports clients to strengthen their overall mental health and relationship to themselves.

Kristen’s style is interactive, engaging, and supportive. When a client first comes in, Kristen takes the time to get to know them and creates a non-judgmental and supportive space to explore therapeutic needs. Kristen is dedicated to providing a safe and professional relationship that is genuine and caring.

Kristen received her Master in Social Work at Fordham University and Bachelors in Psychology at SUNY Binghamton University. Kristen gained experience as a psychotherapist in previous counseling and group practice work, where she not only worked with clients but also provided clinical supervision to other clinicians. Outside of private practice, Kristen enjoys quality time with others, time in nature, learning about spirituality, and trying different NYC based coffees.
