Young Adult support group for anxiety/depression

Description

This group offers an opportunity to feel more grounded in who you are by connecting with others who share similar stressors, fears, or barriers in their lives. Talking about your feelings with a bunch of strangers may not sound appealing, however, if you give it a chance, you may realize it's exactly what you are needing. In a safe, welcoming and inclusive space, you learn that getting out of your comfort zone can lift your mood and encourages you to 'do the things you think you cannot do.' More importantly, it helps to know you're not alone.

No matter how old you are or where you in are in your life currently, people who come to the group relate to similar struggles; being too hard on themselves, overthinking, isolation, difficulty finding a good friend group, or uncertainty about their future. The group offers a space to talk and relate to others as well as practice mind-body awareness and self compassion tools to notice the impact of negative thinking on your sense of self and your well being.

Join for 8 weeks or join for each session. Sessions run in the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. You can join at any point as long as there is space. The site is adjacent to a park so some activities include going outside and being in nature.
