Practice Information

Ancora began five years ago as a mental health group practice. We believed strongly that you shouldn't have to have anything "wrong" with you to talk to a counselor. That's why we are cash pay. No labels, no insurance timelines, no arguing if something is "medically necessary".

Ancora has since grown to take a holistic approach to wellness. Knowing that counseling is just one piece of the puzzle, we have added naturopathic care, nutrition services, and body work. Sometimes you need to talk about what's going on in your life, sometimes you need to get the knot out of your shoulder, or explore what you're eating, and examine your hormones. All our staff are employees, which means we can truly be a team to support your wellness goals- whatever they may be.

We continue to be a cash pay practice, and coming in Jan 2022, will be offering a membership option comparable to insurance premiums. This membership will get you discounts on classes, merchandise, and services, as well as access to our meditation space and wellness library.

FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

At Ancora, we approach wellness from a holistic perspective. We offer individual and group counseling to ages 16 and older, both telehealth and in-person. In addition to a counseling team, we offer naturopathic and nutrition services.

Why should I choose your practice?

Ancora is unique in that we know counseling isn't the end all and be all of wellness (nor is anything else for that matter). We truly believe that the client should be the expert in their care and we listen to you about what you may need. Taking insurance out of the equation allows us to focus on providing our services, instead of doing paperwork. The result is authentic, caring providers, eager to meet you.

What are your practice's specialties?

At Ancora Wellness, we enjoy helping clients who want to be proactive about their wellness versus waiting for something bad to happen. We have a particular interest is supporting those with trauma, and we bring trauma-informed practices into all that we do. All our practitioners are anti-oppression and pro-LGBTQi+.

How does payment work at your practice?

At Ancora, payments are processed through our client portal via credit, debit, or HSA card. Many clients ask us if we can provide a superbill, and we would be glad to do so- just know that we would need a conversation surrounding a diagnosis for submitting.
