FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

Cambridge Psychology Group is a group practice serving adults and youth in the greater Boston area, Massachusetts, and beyond. We offer individual therapy in evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, ERP, and DBT from highly trained psychologists, social workers, and counselors. Depending on your needs, individual therapy with us is flexible and could range from once weekly to more intensive, multiple sessions per week. Treatment plans may be focused and short-term (e.g. building CBT skills to manage depression for 12 weeks) or long-term as you grow, apply new skills, and make changes over years.

We also offer group therapy, consultation, and teaching in the community. Our 13 groups are organized into three tracks: general, OCD, and substance use. Groups center on many topics, including anxiety, depression, OCD, procrastination, perfectionism, substance use, grief and family support.

What are your practice's specialties?

We have brought together a team of clinicians with many different areas of expertise at Cambridge Psychology Group. Many of us specialize in treating anxiety, OCD, and other related disorders, while others focus on depression, mood, and personality. We also are experienced in treating individuals with substance use problems, trauma, ADHD, insomnia, and chronic illness. Additionally, our clinicians are well-versed in helping clients navigate life transitions, relationship difficulties, identity issues, work stress and burnout, athletic identity & performance, school issues, and other stressors.

Why should I choose your practice?

Cambridge Psychology Group is devoted to providing the best possible treatment for our clients-- rooted in the integration of research and our clients' values and hopes. We know that each client is unique and brings to therapy their own ways of seeing the world and connecting with the therapeutic process. Our providers have trained at some of the top programs and treatment centers in the country, and many of our therapists are producing research of their own. The community of psychologists and behavioral specialists at CPG have come together with the shared mission to use the latest innovations in psychotherapy to help clients change their lives. We try to do this together with kindness, creativity, humility, and empathy every day.

How does payment work at your practice?

We are an out-of-network/self-pay provider. Our fees range from $200-350 for individual sessions depending on the therapist, and our group fees range from $75-125 per session. Each month, we will send you a receipt (often called a "superbill") that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. With our licensed clinicians, filing for out-of-network reimbursement through a PPO can yield back 30-80% of the session cost. However, we cannot guarantee reimbursement, and recommend that you contact your insurance carrier to inquire about reimbursement for out-of-network behavioral health services.
