Welcome to Phoenix Rising Centers, where we prioritize care for and by People of Color, Queer, Transgender, Nonbinary, Neurodivergent, and Disabled communities. At our center, we've stopped waiting for saviors and taken charge of our own well-being. We intimately understand how the health of our families, communities, and the systems surrounding us profoundly impacts our mental health.
Redefining mental health means decolonizing it. By breaking free from oppressive norms like heteronormativity, ableism, patriarchy, white supremacy, and gender binaries, we shift our focus towards healing as historically marginalized and excluded communities. Gone are the days of having to justify our struggles to therapists who don't understand our lived realities. As a company led by those who have been historically marginalized and excluded, we have a steadfast commitment to creating an inclusive and empowering mental health space for our community because our very lives depend on it.
We recognize that this work is challenging, but we believe in the power of genuine connection and shared experiences to foster healing. By rejecting oppressive norms, we create a space where healthcare is not only provided for but also by those who have been overlooked and dismissed.
