Dr. Liu is a double board-certified Child/Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist. He has been in practice through telemedicine, prior to COVID, in treating the underserved and rural communities. After attending medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, he completed his psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, San Antonio. He further pursued in-depth psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalytic training to complement the current understanding of the brain with the art of understanding our minds and being.
Dr. Liu currently offers remote telepsychiatry and psychotherapy services for Children, Adolescents, Parents, Young Adults, and Adults at the comfort, convenience, and private settings of their choosing, in the state of Texas.

Adolescent mental health - Working with adolescents, teenagers, and parents on social, academic, and/or emotional challenges throughout teenage years; addressing anxiety, family conflicts, peer relationships, school stress, transition to college, social media pressures, self-esteem, hopelessness about the future, emotional disregulation
Child mental health - Specialized strategies for common childhood disorders including attention issues, attachment problems, behavioral disorders, learning disorders, autism spectrum diagnoses, and feeding or elimination issues.
College & graduate student mental health - Specialized strategies for common issues of young adulthood, including school and career stressors, support around healthy relationships, existential concerns, drug or alcohol issues, eating disorders, and anxiety and/or depression.

In-Depth Follow-Up (40min): $400
Routine Follow-Up (20-30min): $250
Psychotherapy (55min): $350. Negotiable/sliding scale rates are available for ongoing in-depth psychotherapy work with minimum once-a-week sessions.
