Alexandra Hattick is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Long Beach, CA. She works with young and middle-age adults who experience depression, anxiety, executive functioning challenges (i.e. ADHD), body image issues, conflicts with loved ones, or those who would like to learn more about themselves. Her style draws heavily from science-based skill building, which includes guidance through relaxation exercises, meditations, mindful breathing, and visualizations – all intended to support clients in increasing their resilience, self understanding, and ability to be with difficult emotions.
Alexandra is a UCLA-trained mindfulness facilitator and pulls from the work of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Mindful Self Compassion (MSC), and inner child work to support her clients in cultivating a more focused, easeful, and resilient future. Much of Alexandra’s time with clients brings attention to the connection between the mind and the body as well as what heals both. She also brings education into sessions by teaching clients about evidence-based research in psychology.
Alexandra earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. With a dedication to compassion and a light, humorous personality, Alexandra supports her clients as they reach a greater understanding of what happiness and fulfillment mean to them and how they can start to lead lives oriented towards both.
