Aprell Taylor is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Wellness Coach located in Lawrenceville, GA. Aprell works with individuals and couples across the age span. Her work with teenagers and young adults involves building resilience and exploring self-identity. She brings couples closer together to become strong family units through bonding and compassion. Many of Aprell’s clients suffer from anxiety, burnout, or stress resulting from major life transitions like starting a new job, new baby, leaving a relationship, moving to a new city, and many more.
Aprell’s approach to therapy involves warmly offering clients different perspectives from which to view their situations. Aprell listens with kindness and supports her clients through difficult emotions. She then teaches her clients self-awareness tools that promote personal growth. Using the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, Aprell helps clients develop a deeper understanding of their emotions, thoughts, and what’s going on around them to find the insight necessary to change unproductive behavior patterns. She is particularly passionate about helping people of color and those struggling with their racial identities.
Aprell earned her Master’s degree from the University of Dayton and her Education Specialist degree from the University of West Georgia. She previously worked as a teacher and found her passion in counseling. Aprell has an expansive history of working with people from a variety of backgrounds and helping them through difficult times. Her unconditional compassion creates a loving space for clients to feel comfortable opening up and processing through their emotions.
