Aviel (Ashley) Zayas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in New York and New Jersey. If you want to work with a therapist that understands the struggles of systematic oppression, holding marginalized identities, and will accept you 100%, look no further. Aviel is passionate about helping clients be (or become) their authentic selves DESPITE the world we live in. This world inflicts violence in every way possible and is impacting our mental, physical, and financial health. Let's work together and find the JOY in life and how we can create it.
Aviel helps clients start the healing process in a safe, secure therapeutic environment with some laughter along the way. Xe takes an introspective and restorative approach to therapy, believing you are the expert on yourself. Clients will reflect on how societal views and oppressions impact their lives, which could include talking about historical, cultural, families, or societal influences. Aviel's goal is to help clients heal from past traumas while also taking steps towards living authentically. For clients who have conflict in a relationship, whether at home or at work, Aviel offers an interactive therapy style that is conversational in nature. Coaching clients through their goals, Aviel provides supportive, inclusive therapy services for all.
Aviel earned a Master’s degree from New York University. They are passionate about helping clients thrive despite the many oppressions unfairly placed on them.
