Professional statement

Dr. Waldman (often referred to as ‘Dr. B’) has a Ph.D. in psychology and is licensed as a clinical social worker and marriage, family and child counselor.  She has been in practice for more than 45 years and loves what she does. Her clients find her to be relaxed and personable.  Her years of experience help her to quickly see the issues and work with her clients to learn what they must do in order to achieve their goals.

Dr. B offers a variety of services including counseling /therapy for individuals, couples, families, teens, and young adults. Overcoming problems in building ‘emotional muscle’ takes effort. Dr. B sees herself as a member of your team and works closely with you to provide my professional skills, knowledge, and services so that you can reach your personal goals.

Dr. B's training is in Adlerian psychology, although she has added other methodologies to her skill set over the years. She is open to working with clients to decide what will best meet their needs.

Dr. B is the mother of three adult children and three grandchildren. She has been a foster parent and an adoptive parent.  She currently has a podcast on parenting called ParentWhys along with her daughter Carrie (who coaches people in CBT & DBT).

Message to clients

I am delighted to spend 10 to 15 minutes on the phone discussing your issues and deciding if I am a good fit for you. If we decide to have a session I normally start with an evaluation. During this time we can both decide whether I am the best person to provide the services for you. During our first session, we will get to know each other and talk about what you might like to accomplish in therapy. It is also important that you “ check me out“, and ask me about anything you need to know so that your decision to work with me is as informed as possible. Please know that the best and fastest way to reach me is to call Zencare and have them reach me directly as I sometimes miss the notifications that they send by email.
