Professional statement

Charlotte works with adults of all ages who know what they want, but don’t know how to get there. Her clients are go-getters who care greatly about their work, but struggle to complete tasks, find motivation, or get unstuck.

Professionals, college students, and recent graduates tend to work well with Charlotte. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Charlotte directs patients toward strategizing for success, establishing structure in their daily lives, and instituting lifelong change. Her goal is to help patients re-center and focus on their own concerns, challenges, and needs. Clients can expect Charlotte to take a directive, focused approach, and for her to assign tasks outside of sessions to institute change. Once therapy ends, that’s where the real work begins.

It’s the work of a lifetime to face challenges and put on one’s own oxygen mask on first. With bravery, realness, and gratitude as your guide, Charlotte collaborates with clients to find acceptance for life's challenges and combat them together.

Message to clients

Many of us fall prey to avoidance, procrastination, and insecurity. Imposter syndrome and perfectionism form a tricky, duplicitous recipe for feeling like we don't deserve to be where we are and nothing is quite good enough.

In therapy, I have a directive, focused style that provides people with skills to liberate themselves from these assumptions about what accomplishment looks like and to convert self consciousness into meaningful self-focus. My goal is for you to improve how you cope with work and academic challenges, process life experiences, and reduce stress. Through empathetic listening and co-leadership, I provide help without commandeering the ship or making one-person decisions or assumptions. Feel free to reach out if working together seems like a potential fit.
