Psychologist, PsyDHe/Him/His
Psychologist, PsyDDr. Christopher Marquart is a licensed clinical psychologist in Santa Monica California. He recognizes that there is trauma in everyday life. Sometimes these traumas area easy to identify and the path to healing and growth is somewhat clear. But other times, the true causes of our pain are less clear and despite our efforts we cannot alleviate or manage this pain on our own. However, with help, time, and work our trauma can become something we still carry with us, but does not stop us from moving forward.
Dr. Marquart believes that because everyone coming to therapy has their own unique background and story, finding the best approach and fit for each person is essential. To that end, he utilizes an integration of different evidence-based treatment approaches including Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, in order to provide the richest and most effective experience in therapy.
For Dr. Marquart, therapy provides an opportunity for exploration of who we are, what we want, and how we pursue it. He will earnestly and compassionately help you explore different factors and feelings such as isolation, helplessness, anxiety, sadness, hopelessness, emptiness, or simply feeling stuck which might be keeping you from going after or achieving what you want. Whether you are struggling in school or with peers, facing challenges in your career or relationships, working through a past or recent trauma, or entering into a new phase of your life, he will work to understand you, your experiences, and how together you can create a framework that allows you to live a happier and more fulfilling life.
