Professional statement

Dr. Daniel Rosengart is a Licensed Psychologist in New York City who specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma history, relationship concerns, sexual identity, and spirituality and religion. As a psychoanalytically oriented therapist, Dr. Rosengart enjoys working with clients who are interested in tapping into their personal histories in order to understand how they affect their present concerns and patterns.

Clients who visit Dr. Rosengart may be experiencing general anxiety stemming from life transitions or personal stressors. Others are working through a more targeted social anxiety. Dr. Rosengart works with each individual to understand how their unconscious spheres of relationships and internal voices shape their anxieties, and how they can best address such associations and thoughts to overcome them.

Dr. Rosengart recognizes that therapy can be challenging and even intimidating for clients, and he strives to create a space that is safe and free of judgement in order to foster greater self-awareness that leads to positive change. He looks forward to working with you at his office, which is located in the Flatiron district of Manhattan, close to both Koreatown and NoMad.

Message to clients

Therapy is a space where the past and present can be looked at through new eyes, recontextualized and reunderstood. Far from an academic exercise, a safe therapeutic space that allows for this work can open new possibilities for self-directed living in the world and relating to others. I work with patients to illuminate, clarify, and construct a space where old ways of relating and entrenched patterns of suffering can be understood and moved beyond.
