Professional statement

Elizabeth Ossip is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, Idaho, Indiana, New York, and Utah. She works with individuals and couples, teens and adults. Her clients address trauma, addictions, life transitions, anxiety, and depression. Elizabeth is passionate about serving all populations, including First Responders. She has advanced training in the area of PTSD and addictions. Her practice is entirely remote, offering online sessions in the comfort and privacy of your home or office.

Elizabeth is certified in EMDR, trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based therapies. CBT examines thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors and shifts them to healthier habits. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (eye movement) to desensitize and reprocess trauma and other disturbances. Elizabeth also uses breathing exercises and grounding tools that can be practiced in stressful situations, in addition to creative expression through journaling and other activities. These approaches supports clients to find greater well-being and freedom from limiting behaviors, thoughts, and beliefs.

Elizabeth's style is warm, thoughtful, and non-judgmental. When clients start therapy Elizabeth will establish a strong relationship where clients feel safe and heard. She works to understand the client's past history and to set goals and objectives together.

Elizabeth received her MSW from Florida Atlantic University and has a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design. A life-long equestrian, Elizabeth is trained in EAGALA equine-assisted therapy. She has practiced on-site behavioral therapy with at-risk children and families and as a Therapist at leading treatment facilities. Most recently, Elizabeth was the Director of Clinical Operations for a national online substance abuse and trauma treatment program for First Responders and the general population. Outside of private practice Elizabeth enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, skiing, horseback riding, and climbing, as well as playing with dogs and kids.

Message to clients

I want to congratulate you for seeking help. Too often people struggle alone and can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. My belief is that there is a solution to every problem, we just sometimes need help discovering it. This may feel very overwhelming, but once you take that first step and schedule an appointment you are on your way to finding the answers to whatever your challenges may be. My goal is to be the best I can be to assist you in that journey. I offer empathy, non-judgement, and understanding, along with my expertise and years of practice, to provide you with the best tools and strategies.

My exclusively telehealth practice is convenient, easy, and private. You don't have to be a tech wizard, you just need internet and a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Whether you're a busy professional, student, or at home, you will find online therapy as effective and personal as being in an office, without the time and expense of travel.

So, whether with me or someone else, take that first step towards your solution.
