Professional statement

In life, challenges can be an opportunity for growth, healing, and empowerment. Emily works with adults, young adults, and couples to overcome these challenges, including anxiety, OCD, trauma, relationships, sex and sexuality, life transitions, family dynamics, and more.

Emily offers a safe and supportive space where clients can heal from trauma and difficult experiences. In sessions with Emily, clients are able to challenge their unhelpful thoughts, lean into their strengths, and work through difficult emotions so they can better connect with themselves and move through life with greater confidence.

A relationship between the client and therapist that is rooted in trust, respect, and collaboration is one of the most transformative components of psychotherapy. Through empathetic listening and her warm personality, Emily builds this connection with each client so they can begin the work of exploring creative approaches to navigating life’s ups and downs.

Message to clients

Hi! My name is Emily, and I am a licensed clinical social worker currently offering virtual psychotherapy services to individuals (18+) and couples based in New York. I’m dedicated to creating an affirming and inclusive space for clients from all backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities, and cultures.

With my calm and compassionate demeanor, empathetic listening, and holistic approach to therapy, I strive to cultivate a warm and judgment-free therapeutic environment where you will feel comfortable, safe, and heard.

I integrate a diverse range of therapeutic tools, modalities, and techniques, including CBT, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, strengths-based, and person-centered perspectives. With a trauma-informed lens, we will collaborate to understand how your past experiences have shaped, and continue to shape, who you are and how they inform your life and relationships.
