Professional statement

Gina has experience working with clients of various ages and concerns. She has worked extensively with clients who are learning to cope with trauma including the sudden and unexpected death of a loved one, childhood abuse, domestic abuse, and sexual abuse and assault. She has also assisted clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, LGBTQIA+ related issues, and who are having difficulty adjusting to changes within their everyday lives. She sees clients age 13 and older and works with both individuals and couples.

Gina takes a holistic and person-centered approach when working with clients. This includes not only discussing clients' current mental health but also any factors that could impact their mental health such as daily routines, eating habits, sleeping habits, interpersonal relationships, etc.. She helps clients gain awareness and insight into how these different factors impact their mental health and assists them in learning practical coping skills and solutions they can apply to their day-to-day lives to better manage these issues. Gina works collaboratively with clients to help them establish these healthier habits and routines outside of sessions and ultimately attain a more balanced life. She believes that no two people are the same and ensures she adjusts her approach to best suit the needs of each individual she works with.

Gina is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida. She graduated with honors from Rollins College in 2015 with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Gina attended the University of Central Florida for her undergraduate work and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Message to clients

Life presents unique challenges for each of us, and sometimes they’re more than we can handle on our own. When that imbalance occurs, we can experience uncomfortable emotions such as stress, anxiety, sadness, worry, or even fear. We can feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and irritable, and these feelings can impact many aspects of our lives. Acknowledging we need additional support when coping with issues such as these can be difficult, and allowing ourselves to reach out to ask for that help can seem like an almost impossible task.

I’m here to tell you that encountering moments like these is a normal part of life, and you have more control over your experience than you think.

My goal is to create a safe, confidential space that is free from judgement for you to discuss and explore any issues you’re currently struggling with. I’ll work with you to gain insight into these issues and develop a better understanding of how they impact your daily life. We’ll also work together to find coping skills that will help you better manage these impacts and ultimately restore a feeling of balance to your life.

I understand that starting therapy can be a difficult step to take. I strive to provide each client with an experience where they feel heard, understood, and validated as they work to regain this sense of balance. It's time to take that first step towards healing. Please contact me to schedule a free, 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to working with you.
