Hilary has experience working with individuals of all ages and their families, typically experiencing symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, social/relational difficulties, behavioral issues, and/or parenting difficulties. She has advanced training in the areas of trauma and play-based therapy for children.

Hilary typically uses the approaches of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy to assist individuals in setting goals and finding solutions while challenging unproductive thoughts, managing emotions, and changing behaviors that no longer serve them.

Before starting her practice, Hilary provided services in homes and schools through community mental health care agencies in South Florida.

In her free time, you might find her enjoying the outdoors or going for a run. Exercise is definitely one of her coping methods, and she has completed several half marathons after setting a personal goal while in graduate school.

Message to clients

Hi! I’m a person-centered, strength-based therapist who believes that every individual is an expert in his/her/their own life. I help people uncover and use their own strengths to overcome obstacles and grow into their best selves. I’m passionate about validating individuals’ unique experiences while empowering them to find meaning and purpose in all areas of their lives.

I think that therapy can be so much more than a one-sided conversation! I believe it’s essential for clients to feel comfortable, and I strive to offer a relaxed, safe environment in which you can fully express yourself. Please tell me if something isn’t working for you! I’m dedicated to being collaborative, real, and honest – allowing, and even encouraging, humor to build our relationship and work through issues.

If you’re interested in learning more about me and seeing if we would be a good fit, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to meeting you!

(*P.S. Although trained, I do not work with couples.*)
