Janice has worked in various settings, including Shanti’s Women's Cancer Program, UCSF Oncology Radiation, home health, hospice and palliative, medical inpatient, UCSF Psychiatry, primary care behavioral health, field instructor, etc. In addition to work, she is an advocate for colleagues, patients/clients, and communities by volunteering her time in social work, healthcare, equity, grief, end-of-life, and advance care planning topics.

Janice is passionate about trauma and grief. Janice invests in and attends ongoing training on Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and grief.

Janice just founded Present Moment Wellness on May 16, 2023 in San Francisco, developing programs to incorporate psychotherapy, medication consultation, alternative medicine, holistic healing, education, and community into one place for clients, and for helping professionals to come together in a safe and nurturing environment for development and growth.
