Professional statement

Jordana Nolan is an LMHC and M.Ed whose aim is to create a non judgmental, safe, containing and empowering therapeutic environment. She tailors treatment to the unique needs and strengths of each person by flexibly integrating techniques from a variety of clinical frameworks including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy. Through the collaborative work conducted in treatment, Jordana strives to enhance an individual’s insight into their struggles, cultivate resolutions that improve quality of life, bolster self-esteem, and establish skills to manage symptoms adaptively.

Jordana has extensive experience providing therapy with adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient mental health clinics, outpatient medical clinics, psychiatric inpatient units, counseling centers and schools. She earned her undergraduate degree from NYU and her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from USC. She went on to earn her LMHC from Yeshiva’s Ferkauf School of Psychology, a division of Albert Einstein School of Medicine. Currently Jordana maintains a private practice in Brookline, MA and sees clients virtually as well.

Message to clients

I recognize that finding the right therapist can be challenging and that the connection is of utmost importance in the therapeutic relationship. I generally treat the first few sessions as a consultation period where we can decide together whether or not it is a good fit. I typically work with people who are more interested in long-term treatment and therefore want to ensure that my style of therapy matches what you are looking for.

My greatest joy as a therapist is to see clients make progress towards their life goals and to be able to not only have the "aha" moments within the sessions but to also utilize the tools they learn outside in their lives day to day.

If you have a PPO health insurance plan and you would like to use your out-of-network benefits for therapy, please contact your insurance directly to find out about your reimbursement rate. Reimbursement rates are often very good, up to 80% of the fee.

Payment is due at the time of service and you will be provided with a monthly bill to submit to your insurance company. Your health plan will then send you a check directly for reimbursement.
