Kelly Ayala is a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Dallas, TX. Kelly works with individuals who want to heal, whether that’s from past experiences or current situations. Many of Kelly’s clients are searching for a greater sense of authenticity in their daily lives or ways to find the motivation to make changes. Kelly provides a calm, peaceful atmosphere where all feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and processing through their relationship with themselves.

Certified in Applied Neuroscience, EMDR Trained and IFS informed, Kelly brings together elements of cognitive science, brain chemistry, mindfulness, and the importance of the mind-body connection. In session, clients may practice relaxation techniques or talk about their childhood as ways to feel a greater sense of connection to their core. By placing awareness on what’s on the mind and what’s in the body, clients develop the mindset needed to tackle their mental health goals

Kelly earned her Master’s degree from Texas Wesleyan University. As a compassionate, involved therapist, Kelly values bringing her own authenticity into the sessions and hopes to empower her clients to be completely themselves not just in session - but also in their everyday lives.

Message to clients

You have some ideas of what you want & what your life could be like but your body struggles to let you have it. Your past whisper doubts to you so decision making becomes an endless narrative of what if’s, doom and if you’re doing the right thing. The fear of the unknown imprisons your voice and most of your true self never gets seen. You want the confidence to trust your own knowing & have a peaceful life but sometimes this even scares you. Life has mostly shown you that you can only rely on yourself & it can get lonely, especially in childhood. But now you are grown up and deep down you know it's time to care for you.

Complex trauma usually begins in childhood & as adults impacts our ability to cultivate secure relationships with ourselves and others. Early on is a separation between the mind & body to help cope with the sensory chaos of life, this is where thinking goes into overdrive. Using IFS, EMDR & Somatics we work to bridge this gap and recover your sense of self. As an affirming therapist, I'm not here to tell you how to live but rather support you in the discovery of how you want to live best. I'm most interested in building a space together that supports you feeling comfortable in getting to know the whole you.
