Professional statement

Dr. Laura Giusti is a Clinical Psychologist in Providence, RI who specializes in anxiety and panic disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, stress management, relationships, and college student mental health. While she works with adults across the lifespan, a majority of her clients are college students and young adults. She also enjoys working with international students.

Dr. Giusti utilizes a number of different treatment modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Family Systems, mindfulness practices, and Psychoanalytic Therapy. When working with clients with acute anxiety, Dr. Giusti takes a goal-oriented approach that is rooted in CBT. For individuals whose anxiety or mood disorders are more generalized, she utilizes a combination of CBT and insight-oriented therapies to help her clients better understand how their mind works as well as gaining tools they can use on a day-to-day basis.

Dr. Giusti cares about each of her clients and is there to help them manage their symptoms and better understand who they are and how they view the world around them. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University’s Department of Psychiatry, and her office is located just a few blocks from campus. She looks forward to meeting you.
