Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT Certified Yoga InstructorLaura Walton is a trauma-informed Licensed Marriage Family Therapist In addition to training in family systems and attachment-based therapy models, Laura has specialized training in the trauma therapy modalities of EMDR and Brainspotting. Laura is also a Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider through the MISS Foundation. In an earlier life, Laura was a yoga instructor, and often incorporates elements from somatic work and mindfulness practice into her clinical work.
Laura is a bereaved sister, daughter, and girlfriend, and a trauma survivor. Laura understands trauma and how to work with it. Laura understand trauma's impact on our brains and nervous systems, and utilizes tools that help us to feel safe and heard, that give us the space to process our traumas, and that teach us how to take care of ourselves.
Laura works with individual adults, and come from a holistic, mind-body perspective. Laura specializes in working with trauma, including childhood or developmental trauma. Laura currently offers both standard (55 minute) and intensive sessions.
Laura is offering in-person appointments, and has availability on weekday late mornings and early afternoons.
