Professional statement

Life is a journey, and sometimes, we encounter obstacles that feel overwhelming. Whether you're facing relationship struggles, identity questions, or a desire for personal development, therapy offers a unique space for exploration and healing. It's a dedicated time to focus on you, your experiences, and your goals.

Lauren is a Brooklyn based psychotherapist providing warm, curious, collaborative therapy for adults in NY. She utilizes an eclectic approach in care, helping her clients acquire tools to better understand their past and live more fully in the present. She utilizes a primary psychodynamic method integrated with relational and attachment approaches along with goal oriented, CBT treatment as needed. Lauren support's her client's to understand the root of their emotional pain, the needs and barriers that bring them into care, and how relationships, primarily early childhood dynamics impact their present lives.

As a Clinical Social Worker, Lauren has been privileged to work with clients of various races, genders, sexual orientations, cultures, and backgrounds. She greatly values the knowledge she receives from her clients’ lives and experiences and strives to create a culturally-competent space for you.

Message to clients

My goal is to create a safe, attuned space for you to bring in your authentic self. My intention in our work together is to support you without judgement or preconceived notions of where your therapeutic journey should lead. I will bring my attuned awareness and empathy to your suffering, needs, goals, and aspirations to assist in your care. I believe for treatment to be most successful it is helpful for you to be aware of some goals you have for care but to also be open to flexibility of where treatment might take you.
