Letizia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working mostly remotely in New York City to help clients navigate the impacts of past trauma. She sees individuals from a range of ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds as well as gender identities. She also specializes in challenges around acculturation and children of immigrants. She has helped individuals explore situations where they experience a "maybe it's me" phenomena. This often arises with individuals coping with complex PTSD, narcissistic abuse, upward mobility, fitting into a mainstream environment, etc.
Letizia uses mind-body techniques in addition to talk therapy to promote trauma recovery. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy are powerful to aid in unblocking and releasing painful memories and manage triggers.
Letizia defines trauma broadly and many of the clients she works with do not realize that what they've been through qualifies as traumatic. Letizia treads gently, providing education on trauma and helping her clients understand that it can be held in the body and exposed through emotional reactions.
Letizia graduated with her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. Her postgraduate training includes coursework in Eye Movement Desensitizatin and Reprocessing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Traumatic Stress Studies, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). She is in the process of becoming certified in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherpy (via the Integral Psychiatry Institute, expected completion 5/2024). Her practice is mostly remote and she has begun accepting a waitlist for in-person KAP at an Upper East Side (NY, NY 10128) office. In order to provide services to people from varied income levels, I offer fee options when possible. Fees for EMDR can vary depending on duration and frequency. KAP sessions accompanied by KAP integration sessions can be part of a package agreement. Please inquire about fee options and sliding scale fees. Many insurance companies provide reimbursement for those seeing non-participating (out-of-network) providers. I provide "superbills" for clients seeking reimbursement when I am out-of-network with their insurance. Please ask!
