Professional statement

Linda Kramer is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in private practice in the Boston area, with over three decades of experience in using mindfulness as a tool to deepen connections to oneself and others. Linda works with adults of all ages. An active, engaged provider, Linda offers traditional talk therapy, and prioritizes creating a safe space where clients can explore their emotional world. As a long-time practitioner of Buddhist meditation herself, Linda often works with clients who are interested in meditation, or those who already have their own active practice.

Linda often meets with young adults in their 20’s and 30’s who have gotten stuck in moving forward in some important aspect of their lives. She supports them to move towards their goals, whether it’s pursing a job change, seeking higher education, increasing self esteem, clarifying identity, improving family relationships, and/or establishing a successful intimate relationship. Linda provides both short term problem-solving therapy as well as long-term psychotherapy. Her training background is primarily psychodynamic, and she draws on a range of treatment modalities including mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT), interpersonal, and strength-based therapies.

Linda is currently seeing patients online and in person, in home office in Newton. She is licensed in MA and RI.

Linda received her masters degree from the Simmons School of Social Work, and a masters degree in Counseling and Consulting Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Message to clients
