Professional statement

Hi, I am Luree Benjamin and welcome. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate offering virtual therapy throughout North Carolina. I specialize in helping those who feel stuck in unhealthy habits. This can include repeating unfulfilling patterns relating to sex, relationships, and love. I offer support to individuals who are going through major life transitions, which can happen at work, in the home, or with loved ones. I provide non-judgmental, compassionate listening to help all clients to reach their mental health and sexual goals.

I use attachment-based therapy practices with my clients, especially those seeking support around sex and relationships. I guide clients on how to reflect on their upbringing and their early relationships to gain insight into current patterns or behaviors that no longer serve them. I also encourage clients to be curious about themselves, their desires, and what brings them joy. Clients learn how to practice self-compassion and to put their own needs as a priority.

I earned my Master of Arts in Family and Marriage Therapy from Pfeiffer University, with extensive training in Sex Therapy through the Council for Relationships Post Graduate Certificate Program.

Message to clients

It takes courage to ask for help. It is courageous to be vulnerable and open yourself up to change. I know that change is inevitable but pain and being stuck are optional. It is my honor and privilege to walk alongside you and help you as you journey within and dare to begin anew.

It is especially important during these moments that you have someone who will listen, affirm, challenge, and not judge. I am person-centered and sessions are tailored to your unique needs.

I do not take a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. I will patiently work with you, assisting you as you break patterns that keep you from fully showing up in your life and relationships.

In our judgment free-zone, I will be directive yet attentive; firm but compassionate, as we unravel\address\tackle\detangle your fears, concerns, and life’s stressors. I look forward to working with and helping you to connect the dots.
