Professional statement

Your emotional baggage is weighing you down. Many clients find that working through their own emotional challenges helps them become the leaders, parents/stepparents, professionals and/or therapists that they want to be. Likewise, often people feel successful in one area of their lives while struggling to feel confident in another. Many of Nathalie’s clients are women who want to process their emotions, including discussing stress from work, family, and personal life, find new ways to navigate some of these stressors and integrate helpful practices and mindsets into their everyday lives.

Nathalie bases her approach to therapy on an eclectic blend of psychodynamic, positive psychology, mindfulness-based approaches, a holistic framework. She believes that we all have access to inner resources and wisdom and supports clients to tap into that. Her approach is also based in feminism and she encourages women to feel empowered to prioritize their mental health. She is certified in stepfamily coaching, holistic health coaching, yoga, and nature therapy. She has been working with people in coaching or therapy capacities for 12 years.

Nathalie earned her Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University. She teaches clients how to recognize unhealthy behavior and replace it with healthy positive patterns. Her goal is to collaborate with clients in growing their resilience so they can live their best lives.

Message to clients

It's so helpful for you to have an hour a week to get in touch with yourself, process your experiences, feelings, and relationships, and not have to put on a brave face. I have found it so important especially for other therapists and people in leadership positions to have this dedicated time and space. You are expending so much energy on so many other people and their emotions, and re-filling your proverbial cup is absolutely imperative to the sustainability of your emotional health and your work. You deserve to not only improve yourself and grow into a version you are proud of, but also feel good while you are supporting others! My hope is that through our work together you will discover ways that work for you to sustain yourself and become an even more effective, empowered, and impactful leader both in your professional and personal lives!

I think it's so important for us to build ways to resource ourselves so that we can be sustainable and truly make a different in the lives of others. We can work to recognize which aspects of your life are not working for you, and together we'll build in practices, mindsets, and structures to help you prioritize your mental and emotional well-being in a way that not only you, but everyone in your life benefits from.
