Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCNicolette Tomaszewski is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Services Provider in Clarksville. She works with adolescents and adults of all ages. Many of Nicolette’s clients come in to address traumatic experiences, including rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, and unhealthy family dynamics. Nicolette is particularly passionate about serving women in professional settings and occupations, members of the LGBTQ+ community, kink and alternative lifestyle, and is also SW-friendly. She also has advanced training and knowledge in the area of C-PTSD.
Nicolette is trained in Attachment-based Therapy, Client-centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Level 1 and 2 of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused CBT, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She utilizes several evidence-based, trauma informed modalities to help create space for clients to choose various mediums to facilitate, explore, express, and achieve their healing process. In session, Nicolette focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship as well as tailoring treatment to each client's specific needs. This approach supports clients in healing from traumatic events and learn that vulnerability and safety can truly coexist together.
Nicolette's style is warm, non-judgmental, and authentic. When clients first start therapy, she will establish a strong relationship and comfortable environment where they can feel safe and heard.
Nicolette received her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Austin Peay State University. She has previous experience at the Nashville Sexual Assault Center, where she worked for five years with survivors of rape, sexual assault, human trafficking, and childhood sexual abuse. Outside of private practice, she enjoys baking, video games, yoga, and spending time with her two cats. Nicolette offers exclusively remote therapy sessions to facilitate ease, comfort, and accessibility
